[Dappleton] The Fight

ShinningAura closed the door silently behind him. He dropped his saddle bags to the floor, letting out a long drawn out sigh. Time to face his parents. He trotted into the living room to find his father looking over his star charts. Shinning gulped, then cleared his throat

"dad, I need to talk to you"

MoonGazer looked up and smiled "There's my prodigy! How was school son?"

Aura took in a breath "I dropped out..."

MoonGazer paused, then burst out laughing "Good joke Shinning, but seriously how was school?"

Aura gritted his teeth "Dad, I seriously dropped out. There's nothing challenging for me there... I'm ahead of my class, I can't relate to anypony!"

MoonGazer's face compacted to a frown "We spent many bits on you so you could go to this school Shinning. You better be joking" he had set his charts down by now, rising to his hooves.

Aura took a step back "I'm not joking dad!! I don't want to go to school! I want to travel around Equestria and learn through experience!"

"HOW DARE YOU WASTE MY MONEY!" Moon thrusted his muzzle into Shinning's face "Good money I earned so you could have advantages me and your mother never had!"

"Then maybe you should have asked what I wanted before spending it all on your Prodigy!!" Shinning spat back.

Moon gritted his teeth "go to your room, i'm going to discuss this with your mother"

Then Shinning promptly packed his bags and left that night.

Hehe this idea popped my head and I just HAD to draw it. Shinning's father is a star charter and bits don't flow as well as he'd want to. Stupid Shinning, yelling doesn't help.
